• graduated from Denbigh High School in Newport News, Virginia
• admitted to College of William and Mary ... but chose James Madison University
• B.A., Spanish Language and Literature
• married Larry Evans on June 19, 1982
• lived in Newport News, VA; New Jersey; Burke, VA; Harrisonburg, VA; Valencia, Spain; Rosslyn, VA; Rochester, NY; Arlington, VA; Williamsburg, VA; Falls Church, VA; Alexandria, VA (Larry has been on and off Capitol Hill - Congressional staffer and fellow); steadily in Williamsburg since 1992
• completed a 16 year career in human resource management
• mother of two (Jack, 20 and Becky, 17)
